using electronic mapping of the center of our galaxy, they produced images our black hole kicking back what it could not consume
based on the modeling that once something gets into the gravity feild of a black hole it is eaten, what is the mechanism that causes this material to push back away from the black hole.
I was not sure of what said, and while i understand you can't put 100 pounds of rock in a 1 pound bag, the issue of the gravity locking the material in is what causes me to ask this.
thanks in advance
|||Black holes will not expel anything.
The matter being ejected is not coming out of the black hole itself.
When matter spirals towards a black hole, it heats up and the matter is stripped of its electrons (it becomes an ionized plasma).
Black holes are spinning and have strong magnetic fields, so some of that ionized matter gets caught in the field lines and is directed towards the poles of the black hole. That matter becomes a jet of material leaving the black hole at the poles (these are sometimes called "relativistic jets" because they travel at close to the speed of light).
There is the theory called Hawking radiation which deals with the quantum effects at the event horizon of a black hole, but this radiation is extremely small in stellar-sized or larger black holes and wouldn't have been what the program was talking about.|||At a dark site you should be able to see some amazing things - a 4.5 will show detail in the Andromeda Galaxy, and of course the planets will be wonderful. You should be able to see the Orion Nebula as well. Enjoy!

|||In the center of a black hole there is dark matter every teaspoon of dark matter weighs about 1000 pounds its different in every black hole. That is matter that has been pulverized into black matter. It might be possible that 100 pounds of rock would be able to fit into even a smaller bag. The more matter the bigger the black hole. A black hole can only take in so much at once so when a big object like a star is swallowed the particles bounce off each other and is ejected out the top and bottom also its like a recycling machine the particles leaving a black hole inter our Atmosphere most of them burn up but it still becomes part of this world and many others. Black hole take in tier planets and recycle them into microscopic matter.|||gravity is a fairly weak force, but it can act over very large distances. Other forces including those which are repulsive can be far bigger but they drop off in intensity far faster. All things with mass attract other things with mass by gravity, but there will ALWAYS be a point at which the attractive force of gravity is balanced by a repulsive force. (else all mass would just disappear, into a single particle!)
It even happens in the Sun! Without the heat and light pushing the atoms apart it would have a far smaller radius. the forces pushing atoms away, are balanced by the force of gravity pulling it back, and so MOST of the mass is trapped.(a solar flare is where some of mass manages escapes)
If something happens the mass might gain enough velocity to reach escape velocity. Problem is the escape velocity for black holes is as fast (faster?) than the speed of light. Nothing (with mass at least) is supposed to be able travel at/faster than light so it creates a big problem
Maybe something weird happens in black holes to do with Quantum tunnelling/ De Br ogle effect (this could be an alternative explanation for the THEORETICAL Hawkin radiation)
