Answers : 1 : From MITCH : a 1000 watt amp hooked directly to your battery will FRY your alternator in absolutely NO time at all.. that's probably not what's keeping you from starting your car though. you need a capacitor if you haven't installed one. that will keep you from frying your alternator..

as far as it not starting, is it carburetors or fuel injected? if its fuel injected, you could very well have a bad ECU, or several other electronic components that got fried due to wiring the system up incorrectly.

if its carburetter, then it could be something to do with needing a rebuild, but, it wouldn't just stop suddenly.

try having your alternator tested. it really shouldn't keep your car from starting though... but i've heard of stranger things happening

answer two : Kristen W : Fuel pump.

A fuel pump can still have flow, but not volume. It is a common issue on the older blazers, silverados, tahoe's etc. Try putting a gage on the pump to measure volume.

But if it is cranking and not starting and you have done all of the above, that would be what I would "best guess" it to be.

if it doesn't "crank over" then its charging related or computer related, but if it IS cranking its a bad fuel pump. Change the pump, put a new filter on it and enjoy your summer and sounds. :)

Question:2: i have switched the radiator because it had a hole, the water pump it was leaking, plugs and wires because they was misfiring the router bug and distributor cap the fuel pump because i thought it went out and the fuel filter because it was plugged i also replaced the fuel pressure regulator and the map censor and i believe this other part was called a pickup coil but i could be wrong on that lol but any way it still wont start it will act like its gonna but wont fully turn over it will if you put gas or starting fluid in the throttle body please help it is broke down in ohio at my dads and im in ark at home i need my ride back

Answer:1: John L : Here is a crazy question does the fuel flow to the injectors? I had a customer that had a bad batch of gas he replace the filter and the fuel pump but some of the trash clogged hes injectors and the fuel line as well. He cleaned the injectors and cleaned the hoses and it started fine after that.

Answer the right answer at what was really wrong with it and i will pick you and give you a thumbs up i will give you a hint its really simple and something you would never think of|||A WOMAN WAS DRIVING.|||the security chip in your key may have been bad. if that is the case, the fuel would stop flowing during the cranking procedure. only other thing i could think of. common on gm vehicles.|||Mister two rules!!!! LOLOL!!

a blown fuse? loose wire??

really simple...you replace all of those parts and it was something really simple. That's why you take your car to a mechanic instead of throwing parts at it. You probably could have saved some money by just paying someone to diagnose the problem.|||It was out of gas!!!|||Gas cap or neutral safety lockout. The only other odd things Ive heard of are doors need to be closed or seat belts need to be on.I'm really just guessing.Wait um you did have gas in the tank right?
