So converting from ohm to kohm , ( resistor )?

i bought a radio electronic kit , while i'm soldering its mentioned in the map , a resistor 22K





so i asked another question on yahoo about it they said a resistor so when i saw the resistors included i couldn't know what is the value of each one , after a long time search i managed to know how to count the value of the resistors , but now i got the result for for one of the resistor 220 ohm , is that a 22 K ?

is that what is mentioned in the map ?|||22K=22,000 ohm resistance will have color code red, red, orange(first three color rings).


220 ohm resistance will have color code red, red, brown( first three color rings).





if 22K resistance is mentioned then use only first one.





Color code fornula of a resistance is very simple. it is axbx10*c, where first digit is a, second digit is b third digit is c. a,b,c is taken color nos. from following formula:





B black 0


B brown 1


R red 2


O orange 3


Y yellow 4


G green 5


B blue 6


V violet 7


G grey 8


W white 9


Accordingly check color of first three rings, find corresponding no in above table, put no in above formula, you will get value of resistance in ohms only. replace 1000 with K, or 1000000 with M.|||In electronics, the K signifies 1000, so a 22K resistor is 22000 ohms (ohms is a unit of resistance). A .22k is 220 ohms (note the placement of the decimal point). Larger resistors (from about 1/8 watt) have a color code for identifying the value of the device. Reading from left to right, the first 2 color bands indicate the value (in ohms), the third band is the multiplier, and the 4th band is the tolerance. 220 ohm = red-red-brown. 22K (22000) = red-red-orange. You can find a resistance color code chart easily by doing a web search.|||0.22K is the correct answer. I have no idea what map you are referring to.|||K stands for KILO ie 1000


ie .22K is .22 X 1000 = 220 ohm
